The new AutoTune™ automated test and alignment software from General Dynamics reduces the time it takes to test and align Vertex Standard portable radios from up to an hour to just over ten minutes.
Used with General Dynamics R2670 Communications System Analyzers, AutoTune™ software supports Vertex Standard portable radio models VX-P821, VX-P824, VX-P829, VX-P921, VX-P924 and VX-P929.
Ed Mick, Product Line Sales Manager, said, "Our new AutoTune software does far more than test and align radios under test. It also generates a comprehensive test report showing the model and serial number of the radio, the date and time the tests were performed and the operator ID. It also logs the tests performed, the test results and before-and-after 'softpot' or soft-potentiometer settings. Any service center responsible for testing and aligning a sizeable fleet of VX-P820 or VX-P920 radios would save considerable time and money using AutoTune™ software."
AutoTune™ performs the following factory-defined tests and alignments on Vertex Standard digital portables:
- TX Frequency (Test and Align)
- TX Power (Test and Align)
- TX Max Deviation (Test and Align)
- TX Sub Audio Deviation (Test and Align)
- RX Tune Alignment
- RX SQL Sensitivity Alignment
