New flyaway and portable antenna products
from VertexRSI brand offer flexible lightweight communications in C,
X, Ku and Ka-bands.
General Dynamics C4 Systems is proud to
introduce four new antennas to the commercial portable antenna
market. The four new antennas, produced by the Company’s VertexRSI
brand at its Kilgore, Texas facility, complement the extensive
VertexRSI product line of fixed, mobile and portable antennas for
commercial and military applications.
1.2m
1138-LT
The VertexRSI lightweight 1.2-meter motorized flyaway antenna (1.2m
1138-LT) is designed for worldwide transmit and receive operation in
Ku-band. This flyaway antenna consists of a precision compression
molded reflector, auto-acquisition cable-driven
elevation-over-azimuth positioner and an aluminum feed support
structure. The antenna provides auto-acquisition of satellites with
positive identification. The antenna is packaged in two portable
cases; the feed may be supplied in a separate optional hand case.

1.5m
SF-LT and
1.8m SF-LT
The VertexRSI lightweight 1.5-meter (1.5m SF-LT) and 1.8-meter (1.8m
SF-LT) motorized flyaway antennas are designed for worldwide
transmit and receive operation in C, X, Ku and Ka-band. Each flyaway
antenna consists of a carbon fiber composite reflector, a
cable-driven elevation-over-azimuth positioner and an aluminum/CFRP
support structure. This results in a low-weight, motorized antenna
with superior stiffness and high performance under wind loading
conditions. The interchangeable feeds are palletized for quick, easy
removal and replacement, allowing the end-user to effectively change
frequency bands in the field within minutes. Each complete antenna
system, including a single feed and a motorized positioner, is
packaged in four robust, portable cases. Multiple antennas are
readily available from L-band to Ka-band.

1.8m SF
The VertexRSI lightweight 1.8-meter SF antenna is designed for
worldwide transmit and receive operation in C, X, Ku and Ka-band.
This portable antenna consists of a composite reflector and aluminum
tripod base mount. This results in a low-weight antenna with
superior stiffness and high performance under wind loading
conditions. The complete 1.8-meter antenna system, including a
single feed, is packaged in multiple portable cases depending on
options ordered.
