General Dynamics C4 Systems Communications Test Equipment (CTE) business has been aligned with the company's SATCOM Technologies businesses, the company announced.

CTE offers market-leading communications systems analyzers for mobile, fixed and portable radios. C4 Systems' SATCOM Technologies provides satellite and wireless communications terminals, antennas, positioners and electronic products under the VertexRSI, Prodelin, and Gabriel brands.

Jeff Porter, General Manager, Products, for SATCOM Technologies, said, "The relocation of the CTE product line to Vertex RSI's facilities in Longview, Texas, will add engineering and manufacturing emphasis in support of the traditional commercial market place, and allow increased focus on Military, Government and Homeland Defense applications. For many years, CTE has earned an excellent track record for providing reliable and dependable communications systems analyzers to these customer communities. CTE's products keep critical communications equipment operating at peak performance, which compliments the existing product and service offerings within SATCOM Technologies."

"The R2600 offers outstanding MTBF rates of more than 30,000 hours, it's software upgradeable, and provides exceptional receiver sensitivity for monitoring distant base stations. CTE manufacturing, engineering and administrative functions will be relocated to SATCOM Technologies' Longview, Texas facilities. Sales and marketing functions will become part of the existing SATCOM Technologies structure.
