New This Year: Live SOTM Demos
A special feature of the General Dynamics booth this year will be daily demonstrations of Satcom-on-the-Move streaming video over the internet. The demonstrations will showcase the company's ability to provide customers broadband transmission and reception of video, voice and data via satellite while on the move. The demonstrations will be conduced over Ku-band via satellite and feature General Dynamics' Satcom-on-the-Move demonstration vehicle and dedicated satellite communications demonstration hub in Duluth, Georgia.
Commercial and military SATCOM products on display will include the company's Sentinel Auto Acquire Antenna, the Warrior line of mobile and man portable satellite communications terminals and a static display of the General Dynamics 20-24 SOTM terminal.
Sentinel: Rugged, Stow-Mobile VSAT
General Dynamics' Sentinel Model 120 (1.2M) Auto Acquire Antenna, is a stow-mobile VSAT system that provides immediate Internet access on multiple Ku-band satellite platforms worldwide. Warrior 240 TMST: Mobile Satcom
Also included in the booth display is a Warrior 240 TMST satellite terminal. SATCOM Technologies is currently under contract to provide 110 of the Satellite Transportable Terminals to the US Army through Increment One of the Warfighter Information Network-Tactical (WIN-T) program. The Warrior 240T/Trailer Mounted SATCOM Terminal (TMST) can be configured for either SATCOM or Troposcatter Communications and can operate over C, Ku, Ka or X-Band frequencies. Warrior 96 WIP-T: Lightweight, Flyaway Unit
General Dynamics portable satellite terminal, the Warrior 96 WIP-T, also will be on display. The Model 96 Warrior I.P. Terminal (WIP-T) is a flyaway unit that provides secure or non-secure communications over Ku-band (ka and X-band available) and is fully equipped to handle any IP application. Warrior SOTM: True Satcom-on-the-Move
Finally, SATCOM Technologies will provide a static display of its 20-24 SOTM terminal. SATCOM Technologies has been leading the market in delivering true, Satcom-on-the-Move terminals to the US Army. The company provides SOTM terminals in sizes ranging from 16" to 30." The General Dynamics SOTM terminals transmit and receive data at speeds up to 1.54 Mbps in Ku-band, giving unit commanders robust satellite communication in moving vehicles and providing unequaled mobile access to a broad spectrum of information services including video, data and imagery. The terminals track and lock on to satellites using a combination of integral satellite-beacon receivers, gyro stabilization and inertial measurement units.
